Having reconditioned torque converters in-house for the past 25 years, our staff have an extensive knowledge base to draw upon. We have particular rebuild knowledge for the following industrial manufacturer: Allison, JCB, Manitou, Matbro, Case, Caterpillar, Duetz, Fenwick, Ford, Grazzioni, Hyster, Komatsu, Lancer Boss, Massey Ferguson, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota, ZF and Terex. A number of these manufacturers have used us as their sole source of remanufactured converters for several years.

JPAT’s specialist equipment
To ensure torque converters in our care are reconditioned to OEM tolerances or better we use specialist machinery and equipment. These include
- a TCRS Auto-Weld Aligner as used by many OEMs for re-welding converters
- a Bal Tec radial riveting machine, as used by OEMs to insert rivets
- a TCRS leak test machine, to insure that welds are air tight
- a Guyson Minimignon shot blast cabinet for a professional finish
- two Schenck balancing machines have been adapted, specifically for the task of balancing torque converters – one is a Schenck 2530 twin shaft, the other a M641 single shaft
- a converter lock-up piston bonder

JPAT’s customer base
We are flexible enough to supply a wide range of customers. We supply individual customers, through to providing stock orders for larger, multi-national suppliers. One off ‘own core rebuilt’ converters are generally turned around within a day and can be shipped back by pre-noon courier service. In addition, we also stock, and recondition, a comprehensive range of torque converters for most car makes and models. |
